Current Coding Student

I am currently taking the ICD-9 physicians based course for ICD-9 and hope to take my exam in September. I would ultimately like to work in a Doctor' s office and would like to know what type of credentials and experience would allow me to do so? I also completed an online administrative medical assistant course. I welcome any comments or thoughts.
