Antepartum 648.03 Help!!

A patient arrives in consultation with gestational diabetes, we billed to aetna even if the patient was in Antepartum period as it was a consult.. it seems that aetna denies the claim frequently for this code saying that this procedure is Global inclusive. I have been posting CPT® 99245 with 648.03.
Pls help me through your valuable assistance..

Are your physicians providing maternity care to this patient? If so, yes it is part of the global OB service. If the patient has been referred to you and you are not providing maternity care you should be getting paid for the service.

Also the DX code for gestational diabetes would be 648.83, 648.03 is for diabetes mellitus. Just wanted to let you know the correct code. :)
