cryo of premalignant lesion

I'm looking to make sure I am coding correctly for a cryo of premalignant lesion - currently I am using code 17110, but this is for 1-14 lesions. I have heard through the grapevine that there is a code for a single leson that will pay better....anyone out there have a better code for this..??
Thanks
Sara

Coding for the minor surgical procedures can be confusing. Select the code for destruction of lesions based on what type of lesion was destroyed. Look at 17000 and 17110 . Warts are billed with 17110. Actinic keratosis with 17000. The description in the CPT book for each one has more detail, and will help you decide which is the correct code to use.

The units are different for these two codes, as you point out.
