1997 E/M Bullets for ENT vs Multisystem

The "mirror" bullets, under ENT specialty exam only gives credit for Comprehensive when the mirror is used as must be documented as such. When you compare to the multisystem template there is no mention of the "mirror" requirement. The only bullet, under ENT multisystem, states: Exam of oropharynx (...posterior pharynx).

From learning anatomy, would it be correct to state that this DOES INCLUDE the larynx and credit can be given with/without use of a mirror?

The other mirror bullet of nasopharynx (ENT Specialty) corresponds to the the bullet of "Inspection of nasal mucosa" under the ENT multisytem.

Thanks

I think that the physician should be given credit somewhere in the General Exam for this. Ear, Nose Mouth and Throat seems to be the only place for it. So, Yes, I agree with you.
