struggling with debridement codes - could use your help

Doc did a Volar Plate arthroplasty on the left 3rd finger 26548

also says that a small window was made using a beaver blade to expose the joint and then a rongeur to remove the scar tissue . He states the procedure performed was a debridement of metacarpophalangeal joint left 3rd finger ..

did I also tell you that I am struggling with hands ...got thrown into it

Struggling with debridement codes

While i do not consider myself an expert in these procedures. I could not locate a CPT code specific to debridement of finger/hand joints. It may be necessary to use the general debridement codes 11040-11044? Perhaps the physician can take a look at the code definitions and make a suggestion.

I haven't really looked too closely at the new ICD-10 system, but from what I understand it should help with finding the code you need that best describes the debridement procedure that was done.
