[99201-99215 -25
20610
J1030]

Why would you bill a 99201 and a 99215-25.... that seems very wrong!?

re: billing METHYLPREDNISOLONE 40 MG

Please note, I am not suggesting use of 99201 and a 99215-25 that indeed would be very wrong. I suggested a code range of 99201-99215 with modifier -25 there was no documentation to select the apporpiate E/M level nor was indication given to advise if the patient was new or established therefore, a code range was given.

How do you get to bill 20610. I only bill 96372 with that injection.

re: billing METHYLPREDNISOLONE 40 MG

I've been billing for nearly 30 years and have never used a modifier on an office visit (code range 99201-99205, 99211-99215) for this circumstance, I just bill the appropriate office visit code and J1030 and have never had an issue. Please note that we never give an injection without the patient having seen the physician to determine the reason and the need for an injection, so the person that asked about the 96372 wouldn't apply to us.
