billing multiple procedures

I am billing 4 different procedure codes and the insurance company one is paying one of them. I initially used a modifier of 51. Do you know what else I can use to get these paid for?

re: billing multiple procedures

What you can bill depends upon what service(s) were provided. In order to try to help you, can you please advise of all procedures billed, and the insurance company's reason for denial. Also, modifier -51 only tells the insurance company that you are billing multiple procedures, it is not necessarily a paymnent driving modifier. The first thing you need to determine before appending any modifier is can all procedures be separately billed this should have been done prior to billing. But let's see if we can help, please provide more details.

You can also use modifier -59 (Distanct Procedure) differentiate the procedure.
