Office visit and suture removel

The patient was seen for suture removel and had a complaint of some other concern. So both suture removal CPT® with modifier 52 and the office visit with24 were billed. But the insurace is denying the office visit as it is covered under the global period. But the sutures were removed by a different doctor. Not the surgeon or any one affeliated with that doctor. Any suggestions how to ill the office visit.
Thanks

re: Office visit and suture removel

Why did you use modifier -24 if it was not your global period? Only the surgeon uses that modifier for his global.
There is not a separate code that describes removal of sutures when the removal is not performed under anesthesia. If the physician who removed the sutures did not place the sutures, then the suture removal would be considered part of the evaluation and management (E/M) code.
