Vulvar Biopsy vs Punch Biospy

The provider documented "raised whit skin lesions of both labia minora biopsied with baker's punch under local anesthesia of 1% lidocaine". Do I code this as a punch biopsy or vulva biopsy? What exactly is the difference between the two?

re: Vulvar Biopsy vs Punch Biospy

Code 56605 is specific to site.
Code 11100 may be reported for a single or first biopsy, regardless of size. However, you should always consider location. If a punch biopsy is taken of certain areas, such as the lip (40490), external ear (69100) or eyelid (67810), vulva (56605) it is appropriate to report the code for that specific body area.
