Aetna

I have noticed Aetna is now only paying 4(four units) of the Urine Drug Screen. Anybody experiencing this? They have also changed my CPT® code to the G code? I called and asked with a rep telling me that there's a notice about the change, but I can't find it.

re: Aetna

Nancy Maguire has written a terrific, informative article on Codapedia on this topic. I don't know if it will help, but I've provided the link.

re: Aetna

Thank you so much for the information. Our problem now is Medicare which we bill under " G0434". Novitas is now the new Medicare Adm. For the state of AR and now they are wanting signed records with ABN? We don't understand.

re: Aetna

We are having the exact same problem with the Novitas denials in Louisiana and now they are sending denials stating "non-covered charges". Please advise if you have found a solution to the problem.
