RVU question

When an internal medicine physician sees a patient in the clinic and admits the patient to the hospital and the hospitalist admits the patient, I understand that we do not get reimbursed for the office visit and H&P on the same day.

My question is: Does the physician get reimbursed based on production of that RVU value of that visit or do they also not receive any compensation?

That is based on the contract that the provider has with the group or practice.
