Billing for supplies

Provider wants to bill for supplies - suture removal kit; skin staple removal; laceration tray, holter kit; nebulizer kit; needles and sryinges. Wouldn't these be included in the main charge or can you bill separately for these items?

Billing for supplies

Since the start of RBRVS in 1992, supplies for services have been included in the payment for the service. Medicare will not pay for these types of supplies, and most commercial payers have adopted that policy as well.
