Biopsy

Doc did a shave biopsy, result came back stating that specimen is tiny & superficial & recommend to have a complete re-excision w/ adequate clear margin for definitive diagnosis and treatment. So, I can't bill biopsy bcoz there is no actual diagnosis of the lesion, right? Thanks

re: Biopsy

If it is too small to even diagnosis then I would not bill a biopsy since it all has to be done over, it's like paying for a mistake, I know that it was not done on purpose. Our physicians will not bill when this happens.
