Summerizing old records.

In new patient and consults the provider is documenting that old records were reviewed and summerized in the HPI as part of the assessment. (wanting credit as 2 data points to go toward MDM portion). However the "summery" is documented as the HPI and I am useing this data for the HPI and ROS elements. Can this be used for both? Or does the provider only get credit for HPI and ROS and not for the data points.
