Modifier 78

Patient has a surgery (CPT® 49321) with a global day of 10 on March 1st then comes back on March 3rd to get a 10140 we would add a modifier 78 to it. But if the patient comes back on March 13th for another 10180 would we again put modifier 78 on it? It is outside of the original global period but within global of the second procedure.

Yes you would as the new procedure would start a new postop period.
