Post op trauma

A Medicare patient had a below the knee amputation and 2 weeks later while in the nursing home had trauma to the amputation site, was hit accidentally with a board, and has now been admitted to the hospital with cellulitis. Is this considered global or can we bill with a modifier 24 since this was accidental trauma?
