ultrasound with an office visit
Can doctor bill ultrasound with office visit? Doctor performs bedside ultrasound in office to assess ascites without performing paracentesis. Can this be billed with the office visit or is this included with EM visit?
re: ultrasound with an office visit
Diagnostic ultrasound is separately reportable.
re: ultrasound with an office visit
Thank you for your response. Since CPT® code 49082 and 49083 is diagnostic or therapeutic this would be reportable. What about CPT® code 76700 and 76705 would this be reportable with an office visit?
re: ultrasound with an office visit
I bill 76700 and 76705 with office visits every day. If you are billing global Medicare requires you to bill separate 76700/ TC and 76700/26. Also you need to put a 25 modifier on office visit.
