Well woman Medicare codes

would you code a well woman for established patient
G0439 V72.31 for breast pelvic pap?

I use the code you mentioned and 1/2 the time it is denied 1/2 the time its paid. Medicare is no help on what is the reason the denial they say it is because I used the wrong code and I need to change it.

I use G0101 and Q0091 for a pap and breast exam with ICD 9 V72.85 and get paid for both.

I also bill G0101 and Q0091 which Medicare will pay every 2 years in an uncomplicated patient. You can look up on the CSNAP website for the date of the patient's eligibility for these services(as well as other preventive services). If the patient also has a problem at the annual well woman we bill the appropriate E/M code with the -25 modifier, and all are paid.
