Billing Esthetician services under physician??

My physicians were recently and an AAD Conference and had heard from other dermatologists that it is legal to have our Esthetician perform acne surgery 10040 and bill insurance under the contracted provider as long as the provider reviews the documentation and the provider had done the original consult for the treatment. Can anyone verify this information and if they have success being paid by insurance companies for acne surgery 10040

Out of their scope of practice in most states I would think.
