when billing e/m 99215 and labs will be billed (not by you) is modifier 25 acceptable to medicare

i am billing 99215 and someone else will bill lab; i do not need a modifier What if i am billing 99215 and 96372 90471, 9732 does this require modifier

Per CPT® rules, no modifier is needed on an E/M when doing lab or an injection. Some payers may require it.

Since you are billing an immunization, just a reminder not to bill 99215 for a preventive medicine visit.

Unless you are billing the labs, no need for -25.
