Enrolled in a Hospice

Doc gave patient a flu shot @ home. We billed it to Healthplus. Healthplus denied the claim stating that pt was enrolled in a hospice during those time. So, I billed it to Medicare & they denied the claim again for the same reason. Am I missing something? Please help. Do I have to use the GV or GW?Thanks!

re: Enrolled in a Hospice

We add GV modifier when it denies "pt enrolled in hospice".

GV - Attending physician not employed or paid under agreement by the patient's hospice provider.
GW - Service not related to the hospice patient's terminal condition
