New office visit vs established office visit

I work for a group of providers who all share same Tax ID. One provider saw a patient for a consult and no further treatment was rendered. Then same patient came in 6 months later and was treated by another provider for a completely different procedure/treatment and diagnosis. Is this considered an new office visit?

re: New office visit vs established office visit

No, it would be an established patient. There are very few times that providers with the same tax id can charge a new patient. If your second provider is a different specialty, and practicing in a different office, then you might be able to get it paid as a new patient.
