Bi-lat Tubal consult

OB Patient was in to discuss having a bi-lateral tubalization after she delivers in July. Our provider chose dx V26.51 "tubalization sterilization status"; wouldn't that be for post procedure? What is the correct dx as the code book seems to say V25.2 is for "admission" (for procedure itself?).

I would agree that V26.51 would be to record reproductive status after the procedure. Look at the contraceptive management/counseling code V25.09.
