CPT® 31237 bundled with 30520?
I have a billing question for you. Can you use CPT® code 31237-79 on a post op visit following 30520 surgery? Is it included in the surgery bundle?? Septoplasty surgery has a global period of 90 days, and the post op visit consited of removing the packing from surgery, and looking at the sinuses.

The only time you can code a related procedure in a global period is if complications required a return to operating room. The modifier in this case would be -78.
Removing packing is considered inclusive to original procedure.
