transfer to Rehab/SNF from IH in same facility

Can anyone help me with the correct coding when a patient gets transferred from an IN-Patient status. Do I use the date of admission to the transferred area and do I use the 99304 series of codes?
Any help would be appreciated.

If the patient is going to the SNF/NF, designated area, from an inpatient setting, that first visit would be in the 99304-99306 series.

Thank you for the quick reply. I do have one additional question on billing this.
Do I use the "hospital admission" date or the transfer date when submitting the charges. We have several patients that go from daily visits to SNF/NH.
