Hernia Repair...

The surgeon did an indirect right inquinal hernia repair and a left groin exploration with Bassini repair, reinforment of the inquinal floor. Would I basically use CPT® cod 49505 with a 50 modifier for a bilateral procedure??? I really didn't see what he did diferently that would warrant a different code. If you need a sample of the op note...I could include that. What about dx??
