Ekg

A medicare patient seen for initial annual wellness, (G0438) and an ekg was also done. Not an IPPE visit. Can I use G0405 and what icd9 code can I use for the ekg or how would this be billed? So far I have: G0438/V70.0(AWW).

The EKG is not covered unless you have a covered indication. As a screening, it is not a covered service.
