Neonatal Critical Care
Our hospital doesn't actually have a unit for neonate critical care unit but one of our physicians had critical care charges for a newborn. Is it appropriate to use the 99468 and 99469 for a family practice physician? CPT® guidelines are confusing.

re: Neonatal Critical Care
In a hospital, the issue is not a specific unit, but the services rendered. If there is no dedicated neonate critical unit, but the physician provided critical services, the codes can be reported.
