Ivc filter
The patient is pregnant and recently had a DVT/PE (671.23)--not an IVC thrombosis. She had an IVC filter placed to protect her against further PE, but just the presence of the IVC filter poses some risk and needs to be documented with a code.
What ICD-9 code can be used for this?
