The Acting Administrator of CMS told the AMA on Feb 14 2012 that CMS would "re-examine" the timeline for ICD-10. I said that was the only valentine's day present I got, but I appreciated it.

It does throw the provider community into confusion. What do we do now? Many hospitals and practices have spent considerable resources preparing. Some of the professional groups are asking CMS not to delay implementation. We'll see.
