Asthma Action Plan
Can anyone tell me the correct coding to be used for asthma action plan billing. I have been using the G9001 but have been getting denials for bundled service and not sure if a modifier is needed or different code?

This is part of your patient education and can be addressed at each asthma visit. I've always considered it as part of my E&M visit.

You don't bill separately for the asthma action plan form? I do know that the State of Vermont pays for this service

I'm in Illinois. Frankly, I've never thought about billing for the form. I'll ask my coder about this. Thanks.
