Submitting claims January 1st, 2012

We won't be submitting December Medicare claims until Jan 1st. If we wait, will the 27% cut affect my December encounters??

Is their any risk to waiting until the new year?

It is based on service date therefore will affect dates of 1-1-2012 and after. I'm hoping it doesn't happen.
