Eye injury

Hello,

Is there a ICD9 code for a chemical splash to your eye? Or would that fall under the foreign body on external eye 930?

Thank you

If this condition is present - 372.01, Serous conjunctivitis, except viral—a form characterized by a watery discharge but not due to a virus (includes chemical conjunctivitis); see also- Accidental eye exposure to toxic substances (chemical splash) if toxic effects, see category 980-989. See also category 918. As you can see, it depends on medical record documentation.
