22633 Spine Fusion Code

Lots of confusing information regarding 22633. If we do a decompression as well, example 63012 can we not use a modifier 51 or 59 to get this paid. Basically out of a 7 line item surgery I have only been reimbursed for 3 of those, 22633, 22852 with modifier and 61783 by UHC. Any advise would be great

I will try to help you if I can but need more info. What are all the codes you are billing for and at what levels are they? Regarding 22633 basically this is replacing 22612 (arthrodesis/fusion) and 22630 (PLIF) if done at same interspace/segment for lumbar only. If doing additional level of arthrodeis/fusion at another level, use 22614 not 22612.
