New 32 week ob patient

Am I allowed to bill for a pregnant patient that transferred to our office after having all of her prior care with a different provider? She is new to our office. If so, what codes would I use? (we normally bill globally)

Look at the CPT book for the codes in the 59400--59410 range.

You'll have to wait until the baby delivers.

If you've done 1-3 visits, use E/M codes

4-6 antepartum use 59425 and 7 or more 59426.

then, bill the delivery.
