Can you tell me can we bill for giving injections seperate from the office visit. Many times we give testosterone or procrit injections at office visits. The medication is provided by the patient. In other cases we see a patient and the doctor orders a solumedrol injection. Are we able to bill these seperate as well?

I bill this frequently. Just use a '25' modfiier on your office visit and then make a note in the remark line that says "testosterone provided by patient". (or whatever the drug name is )

When you are supplying the drug, use '25' on the office visit and a '59' on the drug for all insurances except GHP products. For whatever reason, GHP wants the '59' on the 96372.

Good luck.
