Credentialing / ins contracts

Hello,
Just out of curiosity, who does your credentialing and ins contract? if you do them in house then who is responsible? Billing Dept? I would appreciate any input. Thanks

Regrettably, ours are outsourced is 50/50 credentialling is inhouse and contracting regretabbly is outsoursed. In my opionion it would be so much better to have both in house.

Our billing department and our managers work together on it, yes.

We are a billing company, and we do it all. Billing, coding, contract negotiations, and credentialing. That way we have a dog in the fight for the doc.
