I need to get the correct codes for Dx hysteroscopy with d&c and operative laparoscopy with co2 laser for the same patient. thanks

58558 for Hyst w/bx w/wo D&C. For the laparoscopy there could be multiple options depending on the type of surgery. Check the 58 and 59 code ranges.

58558 includes removing a polyp or uternine tissue for biopsy and may perform uterine curretage(D&C), so therefore no extra procedure should be billed. Coders Desk reference can give you a good description of what is including in these codes. I stand corrected if the physician does do the laparscopis surgery, the code would depend on what is being removed ie: ovaries, tubes or complete oophorectomy, need more details to determine what is being done:)
