we use j0585 as the medicine code and a chemodenervation code for the area. CPT® 64653 states "chemodenervation of other area(s), (e.g. scalp, face, neck), per day"

is the procedure for migraines? That is the only reason I can think of for using botox in the "head". Otherwise it will prolly be denied as cosmetic. Also be aware that most insurance companies require precertification for botox injections. Hope this helps!
