billing medicare

Hi how are you
i am looking for some help in billing this surgery to Medicare the patient is morbid obese and I wanted to know if there is a dx code I should use along with the surgery dx code 715.16 when billing the claim.

Be aware that Medicare has very strict guidelines for coverage of morbid obesity. That diagnosis alone will not be sufficient. There must be other co-morbidities reported and documented in the record. Check your MAC for coverage determinations for the procedure used.
