Subsequent IP visits

Our Surgeon saw a patient for consultation in the E.D. I billed the E.D. visit as an OP. The patient was later admitted. Then my surgeon followed the progress of the patient for four days, asking me to bill for for each of the four visits. ( The family MD also saw the patient.) Question 1) Should I bill the E.D. visit as IP or OP?
2) Can I bill for the subsequent visits. Are they "observation or Subsequent?

Bill for the status of the patient at the time of the visit.

So, ED as an OP for the first visit. (I think you said that was the status of the patient).

For the follow ups, find out if the patient had IP or OBS status.
