egd with endo clip

An EGD was performed using endoclips. It was stated that it was a control of bleed, however, there was no bleeding until the first endoclip was placed. I was wondering what egd code should you use for the procedure? Since there was no bleeding until the clip was placed, I was taught that if you cause the bleed you can not bill for control of it. 43235 with a modifier or another code?
