ICD 9 for Tubaligations

We have a claim scrubber application within our EMR and all of the sudden I am now getting errors that the ICD9 code V25.2 (Sterilization) is not valid with the CPT® Codes 58670, 58671 or 58611. Does anyone know why this would be happening?

V25.2 would be a valid diagnosis for these procedure codes. Claims scrubbers are not infallible, and I have found a number of issues over the years with that function. They are not a substitute for strong coding skills. Have you checked with your EHR vendor for a correction?
