Observation Care Services - Subsequent

Hi,

Can any one list the guidelines when we can use subsequent observation care services? since most of the guidelines stating that we have to use 99212-99215 for subsequent observation care services? Kindly help me out.

The subsequent observation codes are for use by the provider who is managing the patient while on observation status. Specialists and others who see the patient would bill the outpatient codes.
