saucerization biopsy help

One of our doctors notes they did a "saucerization" biopsy. The best I could tell is that is consididered a "deep shave" biopsy. She said she read an article that it is considerded an excisional biospy. Can anyone help me?? Thanks

There are two types of shave procedures; standard shave biopsy and saucerization. look to 11300 series of codes.

Thank you that's what I thought also, however our doctor said she read in an article it was considered an excisional bx.
