Does anyone know if there is a CPT® code for suture removal, when the sutures are given by another physcian? I read in a blog that SO603 (HCPCS code) is used, but not sure how true it is? Thanks

No, it is included in E/M (ex, 99211)

Unless anesthesia is involved I would bill as an office visit w/dx code for post op aftercare and use a 55 modifier to show that the procedure was done by another physician.

Sorry, modifier 55 cannot go on an E/M code.

I agree modifier 55 and E/M don't go together.

It is inappropriate use to append modifier 55 to an E&M code. You may have been paid, but look forward to giving that money back if your audited and use it on a routine basis.
