A CNM sees a patient for her entire pregnancy. Upon delivery, the decision is made to proceed with a c-section due to failure of progression. That would be correct. it is helpful for the delivering physician to note your CNM as assistant in the OP note, n case you need to appeal. If the patient does her routine post-partum care with you, you can also bill 59430.
