Multiple days on ER visit

I have a patient that presented to the ER for suicidal ideation. The ER physician could not find a room in a mental facility to transfer her. They decide not to send her home but keep her in the ER since she was a danger to herself. It took them 7 days to transfer her to a mental facility. On the days after the first day, all that was done was meals given and the physician assessed her. Do i just code this visit with one E/M level for the whole visit?

I would report each day with a visit, using the correct POS. The visits may be lower level on subsequent days. You may get them denied and have to send notes.
