To pay or fight.....Paying back an insurance company

What is your procedure when an insurance company sends you a letter that they over paid you and are requesting the money back?

If they will recoup the money on a subsequent remit, I will ask them to do that. It's much easier. Otherwise, I send the refund. If they're taking back the money for a reason I believe is wrong, I'll appeal for repayment. But, if the policy was termed or something like that, there is nothing more you can do.
