99000 is located under Miscellaneous Services in the Section of Special Services, Procedures and Reports. In the CPT® professional book, it is on page 514. The definition is: Handling and/or conveyance of specimen for transfer from the physician's office to a laboratory.

Medicare doesn't pay for this CPT® - look it up on your CMS 2011 Physician's Fee Schedule. Some of the commercial providers may, although they quite often follow CMS regs. CMS considers the collection of the specimine part of the office visit. Check with your commercial payors or, try billing it and see if it flies.
